ABOUT THE FALL RUSH PROCESS
The Greek rush process begins Zero Week when all UCI Greek Fraternities will be take part in an on-campus event in Aldrich Park followed by their first rush events later that night. This night marks the beginning of the formal evaluation of rushees in order to best decide who will receive a bid to join a Fraternity.

Throughout the week, Brothers and rushees will get opportunities to get to know one another at a variety of fun venues. Phi Psi’s rush week culminates in a celebratory beach BBQ where bids are formally handed out. Bidding will be an ongoing process until the end of Formal Rush.

The UC Irvine chapter of Phi Kappa Psi is ranked among the finest fraternity chapters in the entire nation. We have a collection of brothers who strive to be the best in every endeavor, reaching the highest of goals in scholastics, philanthropy, athletics, society, and brotherhood. Our parties and roadtrips are by far the the most talked about and are unrivaled throughout the campus.

We consistently take the initiative and attempt to lead where others follow. Seven out of the last ten ASUCI student body Presidents have been Phi Psi's. With over 104,000 initiated brothers, Phi Psi has a very large number of resources and national support. We have the largest Endowment Fund in the country which means we have more scholarships available to our brothers than any other fraternity. We have leadership programs like the Cabo Alpha Leadership Academy, Woodrow Wilson Leadership Academy and the rush boot camp that have produced the highest quality of gentleman. Upon graduation our brothers have been equipped to succeed in life. Constant interview workshops, resume workshops and alumni support help our brothers find the jobs of their choice. The California Kappa chapter of Phi Kappa Psi is dedicated to assisting people find the perfect job, excel in school, and have the most memorable and fun time of your life while in college.

REASON TO RUSH PHI PSI
"I live my life by the assumption More friends = More Fun. We have a around a 100 guys and a budget of over six figures... That's crazier parties, road trips, formals, fundraising, philanthropy and pretty much everything else you can think of. On any given night there are 10-50 guys who want to hang out...

There are millions of Greeks nationally. Each chapter has a lot of potential hook ups for jobs. Think they are a myth? I was hired by a Psi Psi and I've hired 4 guys already... Since I took the roll of President I’ve been offered several positions that start off 70K a year +. Pretty good considering I’m a social science major with a very sub par GPA.

Want to be a leader? I know at least 7 of the last 10 ASUCI (student body) Presidents were Greeks. I’ve never seen a Greek run and loose to a non affiliated person. I’ve offered members of our chapters up to a $1,000 to throw innovative events next year. I used to be an athlete for UCI. Even that didn’t compare socially. Going Greek was the best thing to ever happen to me and yes I am biased obviously but the facts speak for themselves…"

LIFELONG FRIENDSHIPS
The gentlemen you meet in the fraternity will quickly number among your closest friends, and they will remain your lifelong friends. Our chapter prides itself on crazy outings including Big Bear, Vegas, Glamis, Catalina, Santa Barbara, Palm Spring formals, brotherhood events and road trips to the 100+ other Phi Psi chapters across the country.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
We endeavor to help the community whenever we can by participating in charity events and community service projects. Most notably in the past year our Fight Against Cancer drew a 500+ sold out crowd to watch an interfraternity fight night, and our Phi Psi 500 event allowed us to mentor underprivileged children through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

LEADERSHIP
Cal Kappa has a strong tradition of leadership. Seven of the last ten UC Irvine student body presidents were Phi Psis. Within the fraternity, we have numerous oportunities to assume leadership positions and direct the course of Phi Psi.

ACADEMICS
Phi Psi will not make you abandon your coursework--rather, we understand that classes are the primary reason one is at UCI and we make allowances for them. Phi Psi has one of the top GPA's on campus at 3.12 (CLICK HERE for the most current UCI Grade reports) Furthmore, Phi Psi offers many scholarships to its members, both on the national and local level. Subsidized tutoring is available for brothers. Finally, you may find that the best study groups are formed with fellow Phi Psi brothers.

HAZING
Every Phi Kappa Psi chapter is a non-hazing Fraternity and the California Kappa Chapter at UCI is no exception. We do not tolerate any form of physical or mental degradation. Instead, we pride ourselves on constructing well-rounded young men who will become leaders in the chapter, the UCI community, and in their future careers. Phi Psi strives to inspire its new members to take an active role in the Fraternity during the course of pledgeship so that they may learn about the initiative, dedication, and commitment necessary to be successful leaders for the chapter’s future.

NOTES
Rushees do not need to bring cars. All transportation will be provided by the Brothers.

There is no dress code for the rush events, with the exception of one or two events which may require a button up shirt. Dress code details will be posted with the event schedule.

Rush is a "dry" process, meaning that no alcohol will be served to any person despite age. Such a policy is in accordance with University and IFC rules and regulations.

Phi Kappa Psi does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, or national origin. We extended bids to individuals who will be a positive influence on our Brotherhood, maintain academic honor, social poise, and most importantly, be great Brothers and lifelong friends.
